What should I wear?
Please wear whatever makes you comfortable. Men generally wear a variety of clothes. Some wear suits, some dress pants and shirts, casual pants and golf shirts and sometimes jeans. Women wear dresses/skirts or dress pants or blue jeans. Modesty in church is usually a preconceived understanding. Children should wear comfortable clothes, such as jeans and sneakers. After Junior church, which sometimes involves craft projects, children may want to enjoy our playground.
When does the service start?
Sunday Morning Worship starts at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday services begin at 6:30 p.m. All of our services usually last between 90 to 120 minutes.
Where do I park?
There are large parking lots on the South and East sides of the church. Parking is also available on the North side. Handicapped parking can be found on the North and South sides of the building.
What happens during the worship service?
When you walk in our doors for a worship service, you will be greeted by an usher or one of our greeters. They will help you with any questions you may have. They will give you a personal welcome and help you find the rest rooms or a seat if necessary.
A Pastor or Leader will usually open the service with a welcome and lead in prayer. You will experience high energy praise and worship in song, followed by more worship we call tithe and offerings. We have a praise and worship song just before the message. You will witness some who lift their hands and others who may express other types of liberties during the song service.
The pastor will preach a message for practical everyday living. You may hear vocal support from the congregation in the form of an "amen" or "good word" expression. He will conclude by giving an altar invitation where lost men and women can be saved and Christians can be healed, delivered, filled with the spirit or receive other spiritual gifts. All of that is contingent upon what God has planned.
What is the preaching like?
The preaching is usually vibrant, demonstrative and anointed. Seldom will you be bored. Our Pastor and ministers strive to offer personal and thought-provoking ideas on topics that point you closer to God, teach you how to live in righteousness and walk in the victory Christians were saved to do. We encourage you to bring your bible even though you will see the sermon scriptures on the overhead screen.
Can I bring my children?
Both you and your children are always welcome. Our goal is to "facilitate ethical and spiritual development in our children so that they will be empowered to become disciples of Christ.
We provide Junior Church for our worship services and classes for our Wednesday bible study. Should a problem arise, a number that was issued to you in the Nursery will appear on the media screen in the sanctuary. Children are also welcome to stay with their parents in the sanctuary.
Will I feel welcome?
Absolutely. We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person and in acceptance of one another and encouragement to the spiritual growth of all. We have members who are rich, poor, black, white, young and old. Our members come from many different occupations, cultural heritages, and religious backgrounds.
Will I be pressured to join or convert?
No. You will never be pressured to do anything in our church. We believe that you should take the time to see whether we are a good fit and to consider our covenant. Membership conveys certain privileges, such as voting rights, but there are a number of congregants who are very active in our church and have never become a member.
